Bow Ties W/Sausage – Tomatoes & Cream Recipe
Ingredients:
2 Tbsps of oil (olive)
1/2 tsp of dry flakes of pepper (red)
1 pound of sweet Italian-sausage; casings are removed then crumbled
A can of Italian-style plum tomatoes; drained & chopped coarsely
1/2 c of onions; diced
3 centiliters of minced garlic
1/2 tsp of salt
1.5 c of whipped cream
12 ounces of bowtie
Grated cheese (Parmesan)
3 Tbsp of parsley; minced
Instructions:
Have oil heated in a heavy thick skillet placed over mid-heat. Add in flakes of pepper & sausage. Cook for 7 mins ’til sausage loses its pink color, stir frequently.
Add garlic and onion into skillet the cook for another 7 mins, ’til onions are tender & the sausage is slightly browned, stir occasionally. Add in cream, tomatoes & salt. Let it simmer for 4 mins or ’til mixture is slightly thickened.
Cook bowtie in pot filled w/ boiling water (w/ salt) ’til al dente. Stir occasionally in order to avoid sticking. Once done, drain then blend into sauce. Mix well.
