Broiled Prawns With Tomato & Chili Nam Yuey Recipe
Ingredients:
8 pcs of prawns
1 Tbsp of ginger; minced
2 Tbsps of minced garlic
1 Tbsp of chili nam-yuey
3/4 c of oil
4 Tbsps of tomato-sauce
1 Tbsp of minced spring-onion
1 Tbsp of cornstarch-paste
1 Tbsp of wine
3 Tbsp of soup broth
1 Tbsp of soysauce
1 Tbsp of salt
1 tsp of sugar
Instructions:
Remove prawns’feet and barbels. Cut every prawn open from the back, devein. In pan, have 1/4 c oil heated. Cook your prawns slowly over low-heat.
Once a side cooks, turn over and have the opposite side cooked. Remove from heat when well-done. Place prawns and ginger in enough water. Let it boil. Drain once done, then put rest of oil inside wok.
You stir-fry spring-onions, garlic and ginger quickly. Add chili Nam-yuey and tomato-sauce, mixing well. Then, add salt, wine, soysauce, stock, sugar and prawns, boil.
Adjust heat then simmer ’til liquid is almost absorbed. Add cornstarch-paste to thicken then serve.
