Chicken Taverna With Tomatoes Recipe
Ingredients:
Chicken; coarsely chopped
1/4 pound of butter
1 tsp of salt
2 Tbsps of oil
Juice of a lemon
1 pc of onion; sliced thinly
1 Tbsp of oregano
1/8 tsp of pepper
1 tsp of marjoram
2 lbs of canned tomatoes (whole)
1 tsp of savory
1/2 c of red wine
1 pc of bay leaf
Instructions:
Heat oil with butter then pour on a baking dish. Arrange chicken then add juice of lemon. Season with pepper and salt then bake inside an oven temperature of 400 degrees-F for half an hour.
Combine tomatoes, onion, oregano, marjoram, red wine, savory and bay leaf in pot. Let it boil then pour on chicken. Lower heat from 400 to 350 then continue to bake about 1-1.5 hours. Best served with rice. Good for 6 persons.
