Baked Halibut With Stewed Tomatoes Recipe

Ingredients:

1 Tbsp of butter
1.5 c of canned tomatoes (plum) w/ juice
1.5 pound of halibut-steaks
2 sliced onions
1/2 tsp of pepper
1/2 tsp of salt
1 tsp of chopped dry basil

Instructions:

Melt the butter in thick saucepan placed over mid-heat. Cook the onion, occasionally stir for at least 10 mins or ’til they begin to brown.

Add tomatoes, break them up using a fork. You sprinkle w/ one-half of pepper and salt then cook it for 3 mins or ’til lightly thickened.

Slice halibut evenly into 6-8 pcs then have bones removed. Sprinkle w/ remaining pepper and salt. Arrange on oiled 13×9-inch bake dish. Scoop a spoonful of sauce on top then sprinkle w/ basil.

Have it baked at 450 degrees F for 10-15 mins or ’til it easily flakes when pricked w/ fork.
