Kosher Pickled Dill Tomatoes Recipe
Ingredients:
3 c of white vinegar
12 cl of garlic; peeled & sliced
4 lbs of green tomatoes
1/2 c of salt
1/4 c of dill seed
1 Tbsp of peppercorns
3 c of water
Instructions:
Combine salt, garlic, water and vinegar then bring to a boil. Rinse tomatoes then dry. Fill sterilized jars tightly with tomatoes. Add peppercorns and dill seed to every jar.
Discard garlic from liquid mixture then pour into jar covering tomatoes about a half inch. Seal lids immediately then process into a boiling bath water for about 10-12 minutes. Yields seven pints.
