Neapolitan Tomato Sauce Recipe
Ingredients:
1 pc of onion (red & medium); quartered
8 Tbsps of oil (olive)
1.5 lbs of tomatoes (canned Italian)
Salt
Pepper (black); ground fresh
10 pcs of basil leaves (large & fresh)
Instructions:
Saute onions with oil (olive) over moderate flame ’til translucent. Pour tomatoes then cook 25 mins. Season using pepper and salt.
Throw onion away. Pass remaining mixture through mill (for food) and grind. Cook resulting mixture on low flame ten mins. Then add basil to sauce.
